Riglam School was established in the year 2010 on an area expanse of 19,144 Square meter (37.8 kanals) with a mission to cater to the educational need of the impoverished and the under-privileged children belonging to the economically challenged families of the far-flung and deprived villages of the Ladakh region.
It is managed and administered by the LBA ( Ladakh Buddhist Association) with the assistance of the Education Committee whose member comprise of Education Veteran and young professional and social workers. The school aims at providing an integrated-holistic education to its children and mentor them for a better future.
Riglam School is registered and recognized by the State Board of Education and follows a curriculum that promotes all-round development of the children with proper values and standards. The classes offered to students is from Lower kindergarten to STD 8th ( upper middle high school).The school has a roll of 103 students

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to the Riglam School through its Website. It allows you to travel and view the overall visual world of the School very elaborately. Education is the most important aspect of wholesome growth and learning for an individual today. It is the corner stone of a human as well as a society building .Our school takes on the challenging responsibility of imparting quality life skill based Education to the orphans, semi-orphans and destitute children of our region. I extend my good wishes to the Principal, Staff and the students for a very bright future and thank all volunteer members who've shouldered and helped us at every step to bolster Riglam School in every which way.

Principal's Message
Dear Friends and wellwishers,
Julley and Tashi Delek! First of all, I congratulate Riglam School for having a website on its domain. Having this platform is a wonderful opportunity not just for the children and the teachers to share the latest happenings in the school, but it also opens the door for our friends, sponsors and philanthropic organizations to sail a unique journey with us. In my case, I am Tsetan Yangdol. I started my journey as a Principal in Riglam school for more than five years . And, I am grateful to be in a position to assist hundreds of the needy and less privileged children to pursue their educational dream and career. For me, nothing gives me more joy than laying out a foundation for a better schooling life for someone who is deprived of the basic birthright. ...Since Riglam School was established to benefit children who are left behind in our society, we as a team are making sure that such children get the attention and love that they deserve in their early childhood life. Riglam school is a charitable organization run by Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA); the only source of income for the school is the amount donated by our sponsors and friends. We are always running short of funds. In other words, sponsorship is the lifeline for its sustenance. Having sufficient funds can benefit children in a better way. At the moment, there are 105 children who are happily attending our school. They are the children coming from the far flung villages like Zanskar, Nubra, Jangthang and Hanu. They are happy to call our school a home far away from home. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank each and everyone who helped us to get our school connected to all our well wishers through this medium.

Mission Of The School
Riglam school recognizes that each child is an individual; that all children are creative ;that all children need to continually strive to learn and thereon succeed for that the schools inculcates and promotes fostering care and emphasizes the social ,emotional physical and intellectual development of each child that come under the umbrella of Riglam. We dream to empower the students not only to succeed in worldly races but to enable them to be good and compassionate human beings as well. At Riglam we believe that every child possess the innate quality of talent ,skills and ability and thus we strive to provide a conducive environment to identify the potentiality of these deprived yet intelligent children, to help mould their talents, stimulate their imagination and help open doors of their mind to the road of creativity and innovativeness. We endeavor to help and support these disadvantaged children realize their full potential and empower them to meet future challenges. We believe that” when you know better you do better”. The enrollment at school constitutes of orphans, semi-orphans and destitute children drawn from poor families of villages that have arduous accessibility due to remote locations and thus are deprived from basic educational opportunities in their native villages.
A competent team of dedicated and selfless staff under the school management board and parent body of LBA provide and support the much needed guidance and individual attention to develop them into a wholesome individuals.
Teacher, one of the prime molders of lives of these children ,facilitates and strives to identify the tangible and non tangible potentials of these children, channel their talent stimulate their imagination and guide them to their excellence. They act as catalysts encourages and help them to imbibe independent learning, assimilate positive habits, encourage self esteem and promotes creativity.

We have dedicated and well qualified team of teachers headed by a well experienced senior Principal and a Head Mistress who have been serving the School since 20yrs. The school presently has a strength/enrolment of 103 students across all classes:
